Hiya!
I’m Bosko, and I’m looking for some new humans to call my own.
Like most Labs, I’m a cheerful, happy, and loving boy. I love being with people, and I am always seeking some positive attention. I promise to always wag my tail in delight when you come home, to follow you around, and to snuggle up next to you. In exchange, it would be great if you could give me many pats, play with me, and take me on adventures with you.
As much as I absolutely love being with others, I’m also alright on my own for a bit. I understand that humans sometimes have to go to work to afford to buy me things. I’m a sensible old boy, and I’m not prone to barking or carrying on. I’m not one for chewing or digging either. I wouldn’t mind another doggie friend, I get along well with other dogs, but I don’t absolutely need the company.
With my advancing age, I’ve developed some mild arthritis – particularly in my back legs. This doesn’t stop me doing too many things, but I can be a bit slower in general. I have some difficulties with climbing stairs and keeping stable on slippery surfaces.
You might be able to tell from the photos, but I’m a little on the tubby side. I’m trying hard to get back into shape, to make sure that I’m as healthy as I can be at my age. Whilst I’ve been in foster care I’ve been started on a portioned weight control diet, and this is something I would want to continue with at my new home.
In addition to the food, I need regular exercise. I still greatly enjoy my daily walks. I’ll need some ongoing help with my lead work, I’ve become accustomed to doing things my way and am not always focused on following human direction during my walks. Due to my size and strength, which I’m not always aware of, I will need my new humans to be fit and active adults.
So, what do you think? If you think you’ll be a good fit as my new human, please submit an application. I look forward to meeting you.
