Hi, I’m Buttercup!
I may be young, but I’m actually quite mature for my age. I enjoy my alone time - curling up in a warm, cosy bed or sunbaking by the window is my idea of a perfect day. I’m not much of a lap cat, but I’m affectionate and do enjoy a pat and a cuddle.
Not only am I cute, but I’m sassy too! You’ll find me waiting by the laundry door at dinner time, and if I don’t get fed I will follow you around the house, making demands until my dinner is made.
It’s hard to believe but when I first came to GAR at 12 weeks old, I didn’t really know what love was, I didn’t know what a toy was or what it meant to play with another kitten. During my first week in my new foster home, I would hide and hiss at my foster mum when she came near, she never heard me purr or saw me play. But after lots of much needed love and attention, I finally realised what life should really be like, and I blossomed into the beautiful little Buttercup I am today.
I am still a little bit unsure and can frighten easily, so I would love to go to a quiet home with someone who will be patient with me. A cat friend would be nice to play with, but I would also be happy on my own. I tolerate dogs as long as they are calm with me, but I don’t really want to be their friend at this stage. Young children would also be too much for me, so I think I’d like a home with adults or teenagers.
Buttercup is desexed, microchipped, up to date with vaccinations, flea and worm treatments.
