Hiya, my name is Pippa! I’m a little Chihuahua and Jack Russell Terrier mix – I’m actually smaller than most cats! You can rev me up and I’ll run, dip and dive right alongside you but I truly love nothing more than lazing my days away in the sun. I’m a very politelittle lady who knows all the basic commands (sit, stay, come, heel) and I spend most of my days inside even when my foster family aren’t home so I’m very well house-trained. All in all I’m a very chilled out and independent dog – I’ll happily sit next to you all day while you go about your business, but I won’t hassle you for attention non-stop or want to sit right on top of you!

My foster family affectionately refers to me as ‘gummy shark’ as I only have three teeth left after a big dental operation. Even though I’m all gums and I look pretty hilarious when I open my mouth it doesn’t really affect me that much, I just need to have wet or soft foods and more regular dental check-ups.

As I’m a small dog that definitely tends to the lazier side of life, I’ll need my new family to make sure I’m not getting fed too much and that I get regular exercise so I don’t become any more overweight. I’m already a bit plump but don’t worry, it only takes a quick trot around the block and I’m happy to head home for a well-deserved nap.

Ideally, my new family will be a household that doesn’t get too wild as I can be a bit unsure and cautious around new people and loud noises. I’m okay with children but I think I would prefer a family without young kids as I can get overwhelmed by their playfulness and high energy levels. I don’t really mind other dogs; I’d be fine as an only dog or with another gentle, calm canine friend who doesn’t bounce around and frighten me as I’m very aware of how small I am. I’m good with cats (my foster family’s resident feline actually bosses me around!) unless they’re very timid and run away from me – I can’t help but try to chase them!

Pippa is desexed, microchipped, up to date with vaccinations, and flea and worms treatment.
