We are Sadie and Blanche, two sisters who are also the bestest of friends.
We came into care when we were tiny kittens, about 8 weeks old and have stayed in a hectic house with our foster family ever since. We currently live with four adult cats and two exuberant dogs. As such, we consider ourselves fairly pet socialised.
Our new forever home may contain a dog, we wouldn’t mind, but our preference would be one who can respect our boundaries. We don’t love the constant butt sniffing.
While we’re good with pets, we do take a lot longer to warm up to people. We used to be very timid kitties, rarely venturing out on our own – but when more boisterous siblings were adopted we became more adventurous and brave. Now we are happy to occupy the same space as our foster humans; we’ll even sit with you sometimes.
We still take some time to warm up to new people and if you do decide to come and meet us, we will probably hide. Most of the time. But we promise, once we know you, and even like you, we become different kitties.
Sadie: the purry, snuggly (yes, this does include couch snuggles), fluffy one of the duo. She’s a little braver, a little bigger and will probably be the first to make friends with you.
Likes: pats and snuggles
Dislikes: empty food bowls
Blanche: the more reserved kitten when it comes to affection, but she is certainly curious about the world and the things in it. She will take longer to warm up to you and is more likely to sit near you on the couch, rather than on you. She does like to play with a wide variety of toys, and non-toy things (think toilet paper rolls).
Likes: expressing her thoughts (you could say she’s vocal)
Dislikes: forced human affection (it’s best on her terms, especially to start)
Sadie & Blanche are desexed, microchipped, up to date with vaccinations, flea and worm treatments.
