This little miss is Paris!
We aren't really sure what breeds she is, your guess is as good as ours. She has been called a long legged Jack Russell, a skinny Staffy and even a whippet. All we know is she is very loving, playful, and always happy to meet new people.
Paris absolutely loves any person she meets, a little too much sometimes and has been working on her jumping but it's so hard to not want to give everyone a lick on the face when she meets them. She has been doing well and will sit when you ask and tries her hardest to keep all 4 feet on the ground when you give her some attention. As she does get a little too excited a home with kids over 8 years old would be best.
One thing Paris is amazing at, is meeting new dog friends. She is calm and polite and won't be too crazy unless they are crazy. She prefers people over other dogs but won't say no to making new friends. She is great when at the local oval, she will happily say a quick hello and then will continue to follow you around. Her play style is very much run and chase, she isn't much of a wrestler. Paris does currently live with an older dog and can be a bit annoying to him, so with this in mind, any future dog she lives with would need to be tolerant and able to tell her off if she is being too annoying. She would love a dog friend who will play with her and snuggle with her when it's cold.
Now let's talk the fun stuff, Paris is a breeze to train, she is very food motivated and will do anything for a treat. She has learnt to sit, walk nicely on the lead, go in her crate when asked, wait for her food and is currently learning down, shake, wait and recall. Paris is very smart and picks up on things quick, she is also very agile and would make a great agility dog or sports dog if given the chance. Paris is also crate trained and sleeps in there overnight.
Paris is a great dog, she is a quick learner, eager to please and super friendly. She does have a couple of not so great behaviours, one is she has a tiny bit of separation anxiety which means she does cry a little bit when left completely on her own. She will eventually settle and does stop crying. With continued training and things to keep her mind busy we don't see this getting worse. It has already gotten heaps better in just a few weeks since being in care. The other is, she likes to dig. Not all the time or every day but if she finds a patch of dirt that looks too smooth, she'll change that. We have given her a shell pool filled with sand, and she now digs in that instead of the garden bed. If you need help planting some plants, she's your girl. She can be a bit timid of some new things but bounces back quickly with positive reinforcement. We believe she didn't experience much as a young pup so some new things can make her a little unsure.
When it comes to toilet training Paris is about 99% there, she hasn't had an accident in her foster home for a while and when she did it was because she had an upset stomach. As she is still a pup, we do expect her to have a couple of accidents in her new home until she learns where outside is and how to get there.
We love Paris and in the right home we see her doing great things! Paris would do well in a home with another dog, if there isn't another dog she would prefer her people to work part time. She would like kids, preferably over 8 years so they can handle her zoomies. She hasn't met any cats but has seen some on the street and isn't inclined to chase them. We will cat test her if required.
Paris currently weighs around 12kgs and stands roughly 45cm tall at her shoulders.
She is desexed, microchipped and up to date with her vaccinations, flea and worming treatments.
*she is due for a booster vaccination around the 7th of June*
