**MICKEY IS PART OF OUR ASSISTED REHOMING PROGRAM**
Meet Mickey, a lively and affectionate German Hunt Terrier with a zest for life and a love for snuggles. Mickey is a special fellow who greets his favourite people with joyful zoomies and enjoys being a cherished indoor companion. He needs an energetic family—ideally with children over 10, as his enthusiasm can be a bit much for younger kids.
Mickey will thrive in a home that offers him regular walks, plenty of playtime, and a secure yard where he can stretch his legs safely. He’s not suited to homes with cats but promises to be a loyal, loving, and fun member of your family. A family that has a good understanding of his breed is essential to ensure he has the best opportunity to thrive!
Mickey does have impaired vision in one eye but his vet has indicated it is not expected to get any worse.
Mickey loves his walks and has been working with a dog trainer to build his manners. Currently Mickey is walking - with his best behaviour- on a choker collar and lead - to explore all he can. Mickey has limited recall and cannot be let off lead. Mickey will benefit from further training to help him become the best dog he can be. His new home must be dedicate to providing Mickey with the opportunity to learn. To help facilitate this, Mickey and his new family are eligible for two free group behavioural classes at Jimmy's Dog Training in Wallington. (Further details will be provided to Mickey's new family).
If you’re ready for an affectionate dog who brings boundless joy and is always up for an adventure (or a cuddle on the couch), Mickey can’t wait to meet you!
Mickey is up to date with flea and worming treatment. His next vaccinations are due in October 2025.
