Meet, Ethel!

This giant love bug is ready for her forever!

Miss Ethel loves to sleep, eat, play and snuggle. She is a big leaner and will lean all her weight on you to get the best cuddles and pats. While she adores all people she can be a bit unsure when meeting new people for the first time, more so men than anyone else. As long as they don't approach her too abruptly and give her a couple of minutes to check them out she will soon become their best friend.

As Ethel is still a baby she has some typical puppy behaviours like getting too excited and jumping on you, chewing things she shouldn't and stealing items she thinks are hers. Ethel can get a little too excited when playing and can be a little mouthy but we are working on this and she has already started learning to grab a toy to play instead of your arm. When meeting new dog friends Ethel can be a bit too excited and doesn't understand her size, she also doesn't know when to stop and will run into whoever or whatever she is aiming at. Imagine the typical goofiness and playfulness of a 9 month old puppy but in extra large size.

Ethel still has a lot to learn and will need owners committed to continuing her training to make sure she can be the best dog she can be. While in foster care she has been learning some basic manners, mainly to slow down and wait. Especially when it comes to doorways and food, she loves to use her size to push past you to get to what she wants. She does walk good on the lead but does get excited reactive when she sees other dogs, she is learning to tone down the excitement but still has a bit of learning to do.

The ideal forever home for Ethel will be with people who have giant breed experience. Another large doggy companion would be amazing but she could also be an only dog as long as her humans don't work super long hours. Ethel has grown up with a toddler so small humans would be ok, they would need to be large breed dog savvy as they may be accidentally knocked over. She has also grown up with a cat and was fairly playful with them, so a very dog confident cat would also be ok in her forever home but she doesn't live with a cat currently.

If you don't mind the slobber and endless amounts of hair then Ethel is your girl and she can't wait to meet you and slobber and leave hair all over you.

Ethel is toilet trained, desexed, microchipped and up to date with her vaccinations, flea and worming treatments.
She is due for a booster vaccination on the 16th of February.

**Ethel is not available for interstate adoptions
