Meet Emmie – the sweetest Mumma cat around!

This gentle, affectionate girl, came into care with her four babies and has been the most devoted, loving mum you could imagine. Her whole little family has blossomed into sweet, loving cats – and now it’s time for them all to find the forever homes they deserve. Emmie is a total sweetheart who absolutely adores being brushed and loves nothing more than curling up beside you with a loud, contented purr. Though she’s been a wonderful mum, Emmie is still very much a playful kitten at heart. She delights in zooming down the hallway chasing her favourite felt ball, and she’s always up for a fun game of rough-and-tumble with her babies.

As a protective mum, Emmie was initially wary of the resident dog and cats in her foster home, but she’s come a long way. She’s now comfortable with the family dog (a large Kelpie mix), but still isn’t too keen on the other cats. While she may eventually warm up to another feline friend, we think she’d thrive best as the only cat in her new home—unless, of course, you have room in your heart and home for one of her kittens too. She shares a particularly close bond with her daughter Hattie, often curled up beside her or lovingly grooming her. While Emmie would be happy to be the centre of someone’s world as a solo kitty, we have no doubt she’d be overjoyed to find a home with Hattie, too.

Emmie currently lives in a busy foster home with her kittens, two resident cats, a dog, two school-aged kids, and her foster parents. She gets along beautifully with everyone, though she has a special fondness for her foster dad—often snuggling up to him or waking him in the night for cuddles. Emmie is great with older children who can respect her space when needed, but she’d prefer a home without very young children who can’t read her behaviour. Emmy has been an indoor only cat while in foster care and must continue this in her forever home for her own safety.

Emmie is affectionate, confident, playful, and easygoing. She’s thrived in care and is truly such a good girl. Now, she’s ready for her happily ever after—and we can’t wait to see her find the loving forever home she so deserves.
