Meet Xena, the gentle warrior princess!

Xena had a rough start to life after being found under a house before coming into foster care, but she is slowly coming into her own.

Her new family needs to understand that Xena is a special cat, who may spend the first few weeks under the bed, where she feels the most comfortable and safe. She requires time and patience to become the cat she deserves to be. You can't push her for affection or attention, she will come to you in her own time. But when she deems you trustworthy, you get all the smoochers and lap cat naps your heart desires. When she has had enough social interaction, she will revert back to the safety of under the bed to recharge.

Xena is slowly showing her playful side, by starting play fights with her foster brother or playing with drawstring waved in front of her face.

Xena's Dislikes:
- Being picked up when it's not on her terms
- Her cat carrier and will let you know, the only time she is really vocal
- Loud noises or movements

Xena would not be suited to a home with children and would probably prefer a home with another calm cat to keep bringing her out of her shell. Xena is looking for a gentle person or couple who has the patience and kindness to keep helping her become a confident queen. Xena must continue to live an inside only lifestyle in her forever home for her own safety.

Xena is desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations, flea and worm treatments.
