Hi, I’m Buddy!
I’m 13, but nobody told me that. I still zoom around, play, and have an elite-level cuddle addiction. My foster fam even had to double-check my ID because they couldn’t believe my age!
These days I’m enjoying the good life: soft sofas, warm laps, Netflix marathons, and keeping an eye on my foster mum while she works (someone has to make sure the cuddles keep coming). I bond deeply with my people and feel happiest when someone is around to share
the day with. A gentle little soul like mine does best in a peaceful home where life isn’t too loud or rushed.
I’m still learning to stay relaxed when I see other dogs on walks, and with a bit of reassurance (and treats!), I’m improving every day. A calm neighbourhood walk suits me best while I keep practising my skills. Once I know another dog, I’m the best playmate. My foster sister is actually my BFF!
I don’t like being left alone for long stretches, I just love being around my humans too much. Having another calm dog around really helps me feel safe and relaxed when they’re away, but I’m happiest in a home where someone’s around most of the day. I can also get a bit anxious if things feel too loud or rushed. I’m not a fan of being picked up and prefer to hop into your lap on my own terms, no lifting required! Once I’m comfy, though, I’ll happily curl up beside you for hours. I'll best be suited to a home with no young children for this reason.
I’m mostly house-trained and let my humans know when it’s time to go out by heading to the back door. Easy yard access would be perfect. I may just need a little time to settle into the routine in a new place, and with patience and gentle guidance, I do really well. Being crate trained and a good sleeper makes me the perfect match for a calm, loving home with a cosy couch waiting for me.
If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow with endless cuddles and a constantly wagging tail, I’m your guy.
Love,
Buddy
