Albert is a cute, quirky Staffy who will have you laughing out loud multiple times a day. He is full of energy and will shower you with constant love and attention.
Albert recently had his first birthday, and he has been through quite a lot in his short life. He was taken away from his mother at a very young age and surrendered to a local vet clinic at just 8 weeks old. Because of this rocky start he did not get the early interactions with his mum and litter mates that most puppies have.
Since he has been with his current foster carer he has learnt a lot about how to be a dog and how to behave. Albert knows many commands including sit, shake, spin, stay, leave it, on your bed and in your crate. He loves toys and will take anyone on in a game of tug of war. He is toilet trained, crate trained and will sleep calmly through the night without bothering you. He is happy entertaining himself in the backyard but loves more than anything to be wherever his humans are.
Albert needs to be the only dog in his household, this is a really strict requirement. Likely due to his rough start in life he has had some outbursts of aggression towards the other dogs in his foster home, he has already had extensive training with this issue and it is not something that will be resolved over time. He will not be suitable for off lead play with other dogs. He does however love to go for walks on lead and is excited but not reactive when he meets other dogs along the way.
Albert loves every person he meets and will no doubt make you fall in love with him too. He would be best suited to a house with older children or no children as he is a big clumsy clown and would likely bowl small children over.
Albert has had some issues with his stomach, skin and ears, these are all currently under control but may need ongoing veterinary care in the future.
His forever home must be willing to take him for regular check ups if required.
Albert is desexed, microchipped, up to date with vaccinations, flea and worm treatment.
