Hi everyone, my name is Fern! I’m a funny little pocket rocket looking for a forever home!
I was brought to GAR after being found on the streets with my two babies. I had done a wonderful job raising them (even though I am only a baby myself!) and we were ready to leave each other to start our new lives.
When I first arrived at my foster home, I would mostly hide under the bed, occasionally sneaking out to investigate my surroundings and eat. I quickly came out of my shell, and now I am hardly ever out of sight! I spend my days running around the house and playing with my toys – you will always see my giant boofy tail waving about as I dart past. When I finally run out of energy, I like to lay flat on my belly with my back legs kicked out behind me, which is a funny sight to see. As I grow up my foster mum thinks I will become a lovely lap cat.
I love to sit on the couch with the humans, and I’ll definitely jump on your lap and headbutt your hands until you give me pats! I will let you carry me around and will meow loudly when I want to be put back down. I am gentle and don’t bite or scratch my humans, and I am very good at using the litter and scratching post.
I live with two other cats – at first, I was a bit frightened and would growl whenever they were near me, but after a few weeks we now get along fine. I would also be happy enough to live with no other cats.
If you think you could be my forever home, please apply!
Fern is desexed, microchipped, up to date with vaccinations, flea and worm treatments.
