Hello! My name is Mistie and I first came to GAR a few weeks ago as a private surrender. Sadly, my previous owner was no longer in a position to care for me as I needed. Whilst I miss my old family dearly, I'm full of love and ready to give my all to a new forever home!

I am extremely energetic and would need daily stimulation. My new family would have to be committed to walking me often and spending lots of time outdoors. I love love LOVE humans, however, other dogs are not my strong suit. My foster family says that I am dog reactive and that whoever takes me on would have to be committed to working with me on my training in this department. I am mostly timid around larger dogs, as I currently share residence with my foster puppy and cat brothers and get along famously with them! I think I just need a little more exposure, so dog parks are a big no no at this stage.

I love my toys and my treats, so if I have one or the other during the day I'm more than fine to be left outside on my own while you are out! However, I have gotten used to the good life of sleeping inside and would love to be able to keep doing so in my new home. Don't worry, I'm very well trained and will listen if you tell me to 'get in my bed'! I also have great recall to my name, and know how to sit and stay reasonably well. I'm house trained and am a great travel buddy in the car!

Mistie is desexed, micro-chipped and up to date with vaccinations, flea and worming treatments.
