Meet Rosie!

Rosie is a gorgeous girl with a cheeky personality, a huge heart, and plenty of puppy energy. Like any good pup, she is very food motivated and always appreciates a tasty snack.

Rosie loves being outside, playing fetch, and putting her nose to work. She’s also a bit of a clumsy athlete, still growing into her long legs, so watching her zoom around is guaranteed to provide plenty of laughs.

Rosie is a little reserved when meeting new people and experiencing new things. Rosie will need people who are happy to take things slowly, give her space, and allow her to experience new things at her own pace. Once she decides you’re her person, though, she’ll happily become your shadow. She loves sleeping at your feet while you work or curling up beside you on the couch.

Rosie has had a rough start to life, and will need a patient family who understands that confidence takes time. She is beginning to manage short periods being left alone and is learning that her people always come back. She's a good sleeper overnight in her crate, beside her carers’ bed and enjoys calming music while she settles.

She's a smart girl who wants to please her humans and is already learning her name, walking on lead, sitting when asked, and becoming more confident with her house training. Her new family will need to be strongly committed to ongoing training and socialisation to help her grow into a happy, well-mannered adult dog.

Rosie loves playing with the resident dog and would benefit from having a calm, confident older dog in her forever home to help guide her and show her the ropes.

Rosie’s ideal home:
- Active people who can keep up with her as she grows and her energy increases
- A family committed to ongoing training and positive socialisation
- A confident, dog-savvy older dog would be a big bonus
- Dog-savvy older children who can respect her boundaries and give her space, at this stage Rosie is a little too boisterous for very young children
- People who are home most of the time while she learns how to adjust, as she cannot be left alone for extended periods
- A family willing to introduce new experiences slowly and at Rosie’s pace
- Plenty of exercise, enrichment, play, and eventually lots of adventures!

Rosie is still very much a puppy, and while she needs plenty of rest now, her activity levels will increase as she grows. Her forever family needs to be prepared to grow with her and give her the training, structure, patience and enrichment she needs.

If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, slightly goofy companion who will eventually become your loyal shadow, Rosie might just be your girl.
